Spjut Reunion Day 1 (For Us)

We missed the ACTUAL first full day of the family reunion as I still went to work and Lindsey, less than two weeks removed from another delivery, wasn't necessarily super motivated to load three girls 3 and under up in the van and take them places by herself.  So, she waited one more day for a second parent (me) and Grandma and Grandpa had to suffer one extra day of not seeing Mae and Anna. The trip to the Museum though was a hit - the OmniMax video not so much for a 3 year old and 1 year old, but they had a great time overall! -T

Now THIS is a sandbox!

Anna, unafraid, and always doing her own thing

I wouldn't trust her behind the wheel quite yet

Same goes for this kid

Keystone

It's like being in St. Louis

Water fun

Storytime with Great Grandma Spjut

Quality time with Great Grandma Spjut

No nap, no problem...well, maybe a little...it could have been worse we'll say

Gifts from Grandma and Grandpa...good work on the smile, Mae!  Audrey...keep workin' at it.

Brooklyn's First Bath

We got Brooklyn in for her first time in the tub (or the duck).  She was a little unsure, but seemed okay with it. -T

Funny...I don't ever remember being this crowded trying to give a bath with the first two girls

"What?  Oh heck no...hold up...huh...

...oh, okay!"

Welcome Home...for a little bit at least

Grandma and Grandpa "Returned with Honor" from Guatemala - nothing like returning home to all of your grandkids minus two (Mae and Anna).  Sorry Mae and Anna, we wanted you happy for the rest of the time with your cousins, not sleep deprived and grumpy. -T

Brooklyn...meet Grandma and Grandpa

Some people just can't stop preaching the gospel...or maybe he can't find the bathroom?

Love or Lazy?

That doesn't look like the most comfortable of positions so maybe she's just in love with the dude from the Brandy version of Cinderella.  Or maybe she's just too lazy to get comfortable. -T

Looking at this makes my back sore

Mom's Turn

It was time to turn our attention from Brooklyn to Mom's birthday!  I think she had a great day - she at least acted like she did. -T

Morning presents with the girls - ALL the girls

Well this picture certainly didn't try and hide her age, did it?

Brooklyn's exhausted from all the fun

No daughter of mine will ever again eat AROUND the best part!

All About Brooklyn

In the following days after her birth, Brooklyn was a rock star in our house - everyone wanted to be with or be Brooklyn. -T

Ah boy

Maybe Anna didn't want to QUITE get all the way in

We worried about Anna the most when Brooklyn was born - so far so good

Lots of love for biggest sister

Anna reading Brooklyn books

Even when Brooklyn's not around, they find substitutes for her

Brooklyn Comes Home

After two nights at the hospital, Mom was more than ready to come home.  Brooklyn's sisters were more than ready to welcome them.  -T

The checkout part seems to always take so long!

Brooklyn...meet the sun

First outdoor experience - sunny and fa-reezing!

Mae couldn't wait to get her hands on her

Anna joins the welcome party

Sleeping right through the barrage - that's what we like to see!

If we would have asked one of them to be cute and one of them to be scary...they would have been doing exactly what we asked them to!

Preciousness

Anna receiving a little holding assistance

Yes, you both have noses

Family picture - newly a family of 5

If only Brooklyn had smiled

C'mon Brook!

I think the blanket makes one look a lot taller than she really is

Mae just loves to be near Brooklyn

The Next Day

Come to find out, the day after she was born Brooklyn was still cute! =)

February 26, 2014 - The Arrival

1:25 6cm said should be within hour and Lindsey very itchy from epidural

1:47 9cm
1:55 9cm just about complete
2:07 10 cm holding baby in
2:14 Brooklyn Faith Arrives

Things picked up...they picked up fast.  We had to wait for Dr. Yang to get done delivering another baby for a few minutes and in that few minutes, our nurse Dani, had to hold the baby in from just walking out on her own.  So Lindsey went from pushing twice with Mae, to one 1/2 of push with Anna, and no pushing with Brooklyn.  Where does she go from here?  Regardless, we were so thrilled to welcome Brooklyn Faith to our family. -T
