February 26, 2014 - The Morning Of

The 5:45 report time came early.  Whew!  We preferred Anna's start time of 8:00 over the 6:00.  We appreciated Papa D spending the night at our house and making sure our girls were taken care of.  We also appreciated Grandma Weez taking over.  The morning was fast but slow.  By noon, it was hard to believe we had been there for 6 hours already but everything was moving so slow.  Anna came bolting out quickly - it took Lindsey's body a little extra long this time to register what we were going for here today.  -T

Let's fill that thing!

Always one of the best pregnant ladies ever on delivery day!

The lap taking didn't seem to do a whole lot

Nothing can break her spirit

Preventing sunny side up...and nice and comfortable after the epidural
And then the day turned to PM...

Baby Eve

Our last night before Baby Schlenk #3 - our family of four soon to change to five.  We also don't anticipate getting ALL 5 people to look at the camera when that times comes since we can't even get four.  We also love pictures on a timer - our legs look huge! -T

Since when does beeping and flashing not keep a kid's attention?  C'mon Anna!

You couldn't keep looking at the camera for a 1/2 of second longer, Anna!?

Dangit, Anna!

Really, Mae?

Baby #3 - We Call It Faith

We are now just days away from the arrival of Baby Schlenk #3.  Mom looks as good as ever - totally normal figure with a nice-sized pooch.  To think just over 40 months ago, we had no children.  To think just over 20 months ago, we had one child, and now we're on the verge of having 3 - 40+ months and under.  We're as ready as we'll ever be though - let's go! -T

Mom and Faith - as we've called it all along

The Winter of 2014 Continues

2 More Words - Record Breaking.  It was finally deemed the worst winter in Cincinnati on record.  The average annual snowfall for Cincinnati (according to the radio) is 22 inches.  As of February, we surpassed 42 inches - breaking the record (according to News 5).  Hey, go big or go home, right?  If we're going to have a bad winter, it might as well break some records. -T

Our little winter thug

Can she even see?

Happy Mae and well...Anna just wants to see what's going on!

It's all fun and games...

...until one sister doesn't know the difference between a snowball and an iceball

Although the chocolate does a nice job of covering up the blood and swelling...Mom always knows how to make it feel better

Once there was a snowman...that looked...well, nothing like a man really

So the first two balls rolled really nicely - no problem - all leading to about a 3 1/2 foot snowman.  I couldn't get the last ball to roll - it kept crumbling apart!  So that's why he looks like THIS!  No worries though - Mae loved him which makes it way better than last year's!

Oh the shoveling

The constant shoveling

Here lies our sidewalk and grass.  Can't really tell where one ends and the other begins, huh?  That's because it's just all iced over nice and evenly

Let's just say this took some time

New day, more shoveling - the story of the Winter of 2014

Grandma Weez Turns Like 41 or Something

The winter weather didn't stop us from celebrating Grandma Weez and her annual birthday. -T

Does Anna have bad breath or something?

I think Grandma Weez just realized she's only 1

The Winter of 2014

2 Words - Polar Vortex.  Who knew that 2014 would bring such crazy winter weather?  The Christmas lights were shut off, but January came and went and there was never a chance to actually take them down. -T

Our view most days - it is always better to see the driveway and sidewalks shoveled though

Ready to brave the elements

Mae has come a long way in a year

Cold but enjoying every minute of it

REALLY cold because all she wants to do is eat the snow

Pacifiers stay mouth-temperature regardless of the environment
