Happy Again at 10 (Months)

Anna hit double digits.  Getting her to smile for pictures is still a non-issue, but now that she's mobile and more aware of her surroundings, getting her to hold still is a challenge.  We got some fun ones though.  We even got Mae to be sweet in the sister pictures, but Anna was too wired. -T

Could have stopped after the first shot

I think her hair is getting longer

I'm not quite sure where she gets the huge mouth

"I'm mobile now, guys!"

Whoaaa...scary Anna

C'mon Anna!

She didn't want to stand

But Mom made her happy to do so

Mae being nice in these for a change and Anna making fart faces

Anna!  Enough will the goofiness!

Well Mae, you tried...thank you.  Anna, you're still very easy when it comes to these pictures

Easter

We had a really nice Easter.  We had talked to Mae about the meaning of Easter so she'd look smart in nursery (or at least not dumb).  We're all very grateful for the Savior and Him making it possible for us to overcome physical and spiritual death. -T

To keep her hair pretty for the duration of the holiday, Mom gave Mae braids

She really is cute

Speaking of cute, look at this head gear!  Mom told me to just go pick out something for Anna's hair (head).

See Mom, Anna likes it!

Anna looks concerned

The best one we got of them

Although this one's not half bad

The good news is this wasn't because Mae tackled her to the ground

Anna looking cute, Mae looking distracted

We hope they can have conversations together soon

And as always...we always know when we're done

This isn't what we had in mind for "one more smile!"

Everyone's super intense and ready for another dog eat dog version of the family Easter egg hunt

I was too busy tipping Mae off on where eggs were to notice how nice Beth and Brian's back patio/porch/yard look.  I'm glad I took a moment when I saw this picture later.  Good job guys!

Hurry Mae!

I only see seven, Mae!  Hurry!

The good news is all the kids tied at 10 eggs a piece so it eliminated the trash talk and bragging rights =)
Although Cameron did find the Jesus sticker so he was declared the winner

Mae looks older for this year's kid Easter picture...Anna looks more alive

Oh good, we got one of everyone looking at the camera

Small girl in a big world

Ah Mom, you truly are the best

Why is Mae dressed like it's 20 degrees and Anna like it's 60?  Who are these kids' parents?

Cameron came and it then exceeded the hammock's weight limit

Always drawn to the slide

I was waiting for her to somersault down, but that didn't happen

Surfing the Steps

We found a new game!  Filled with static, motherly anxiety, and most importantly, fun!  We took Kylee's old mattress and Mom started it out on the bottom of the steps for jumping, then it moved to the couch to the floor for sliding, then it moved back to the stairs for jumping and sliding, then it moved to the top of the steps for surfing (not really surfing, just hanging on for dear life), and then came back to the bottom of the steps for for somersaults and flips.  Then, it went to the basement because Mom couldn't handle the anxiety of Mae diving head first a few times.  It was a great game for all though.  Even Anna did everything outside of the somersaults and flips.  Even Mom and Dad surfed the stairs.  It was just like Mom remembered. -T

Even though we have creepy eyes, doesn't mean we weren't having fun...Anna loved it!

Pads and static

Trying to capture the full effect of the static

THERE it is!
This has been good to break Mae out of her extreme cautiousness a little bit

The Anna Development

Anna continues to develop.  She loves remotes and eating, but doesn't seem interested in crawling. Oh, and she still has a enormous smile.  -T

She thinks she finally won, but this remote doesn't do a whole lot so we let her "get" this one

She loves mealtime

She sits and eats for over an hour

Sometimes we have to change her outfit right there in her chair because she's still eating and it's the next day

She can crawl backwards a little bit...oops, Anna!

Mom's 2nd Birthday

So Mom is older than 2 so I guess I could have used a better title than "Mom's 2nd Birthday," but it was exactly that.  Since we had people out of town on Lindsey's birthday, family dinner a couple weeks later turned into a birthday celebration for her.  Can't beat that! -T

Everyone seems VERY ready

Blowing that pneumonia and sinus infection all over

To Lindsey from Cameron?

The Return of Papa D

Papa D and Grandma Weez were gone for a long time.  Upon returning, the girls were sick, so everyone stayed away.  Papa D had something to drop off at our house...which he did.  You don't think the girls were just going to let him just go in and out, do you? -T

Pick a book because it's...

...storytime!
