Farm Trip Day 5: Horses, Pool and the Bull

On our last full day we rode the horses.  Mae got an absolutely special treat!  We did the pool again and then our last activity was a forgettable one - neither Mae or Anna necessarily is ready for bull riding quite yet. -T

Another ride, another cousin for Anna

Wow...Uncle Scott is the best!

A girl in heaven

Has anyone seen Anna or Brady!?

There they are!

Mae always will find the dog if there's one there

The after pool party with the chickens

One last "horse ride"

So happy, so cute

I think she's happy, and so cute

Never a dull moment with this kid

Well our girls loved this part

"The jumping up and down...

...that's what we're here for, right?"

"What is this?"

Not so much the bull rider quite yet

Sorry...when you're the oldest you're forced to at least try it

She made it!  All 30 seconds!  Bawling her eyes out

Halloween

A second consecutive year of trick or treating in the rain.  Although the rain was worse this year, the wind and cold were worse last year so in the end, it was probably better this year.  We still took our little lion and Little Red Riding Hood out and had a lot of fun!  Although, I believe they were more excited about all the dogs they were able to pet moreso than the candy they got.  Here's how the conversation at people's homes with dogs typically went:  "Mae: Trick or Treat!"  Dog Owner: "Oh, Little Red Riding Hood and a lion!  (Insert name of dog here), stay back!"  Mae: "Can I touch him?"  No one could ever say no. -T

Looking back we should have said Anna was a wolf - that would have been perfect!

Ready to brave the elements!

Mom looking cute and Mae looking for another dog

Our happy little lion!

"Can I touch him?"

Suddenly I'm in the mood for some Taco Bell

I'm telling you...it was the story of the night

Sharing her candy with the pumpkin?

Either it was a warm Halloween or these two are crazy

Look alive Little Red Riding Hood!

Definitely okay with the candy

Look alive lion, or wolf, or baby in a onesie

Happy Halloween from the Schlensker Girls!

Bad Habits in the Park

Mom and the girls met up with Grandma and Grandpa at Washington Park for some end of summer fun.  They girls really enjoyed themselves.  A nice couple even let Mae hold the leash and walk their dog.  That was a BIG highlight.  However, now she expects everyone she sees to let her hold their leash and walk their dog. Oh, and Anna got soaked and Lindsey forgot she's not from Kentucky. -T

Anna + Water = Bad Outcome

Mom and Mae

Who's the redneck baby!?  This nice couple was pretty generous with their dog and just to clarify - the car with a dry shirt was not close

Nevermind the red neck baby with the pot belly, check out the guy...look at the size of that dude's arms! (You're welcome, Anna)
