Piano Recital

Mae had her Spring Piano Recital.  She played a version of London Bridges.  She also had a duet with her mother.  Lindsey was VERY nervous - but they both did very well.  The picture of Mom and Mae for some reason wouldn't upload so we just get to see blurry Mae and then a clearer one of Mae.

Mother's Day Magic

We had a wonderful day celebrating the mother of our family.  It was a great day to praise our own mothers and mothers everywhere.

Another 29th Birthday

Lindsey had another birthday, yes still looks 29.  We were all just happy she was healthy and feeling well again!

Time for pie

Brooklyn!  Camera!  Not Ashley!

There we go!

So Mae's early childhood fear of flames did not rub off on Ashley

Sick February

February was FILLED with coughs, colds, runs, flus, vomiting...and well, Lindsey's flu and vertigo.  She was a mess!  I think Anna was the first to puke...followed by everyone else (except Dad)...followed by another round of vomiting and some runs.  The climax though was when I got a call at work from Mae around noon on a Friday to come home.  I entered the house to find Lindsey in REAL bad shape.  So she got a fun ambulance ride (I was scared I would hurt her trying to get her in the car).  Aunt Katie came and picked up the girls (Mae got picked up by the bus for school and then by Katie later) and then Papa D and Grandma Weez got the girls at bedtime.  It was a looong day.  Lindsey got tested for a whole bunch of stuff and in the end it was influenza and vertigo.  The next day Brooklyn and Ashley both had fevers, but luckily, no flu.  Somehow though all of it, I never got sick.  When I felt like I was the morning after Lindsey spent the night in the hospital - a miracle was poured down onto our family and I never got it.  We were not said to see February end.

An ambulance ride!?  Some people have ALL the luck!

11 blankets later, she was ALMOST warm

Virginia Trip - Day 1

With the goal being to leave before the clock struck 8, we felt pretty good to roll out at 8:11.  Grandma Weez came with us and Lindsey had great activities and van setup.  It was a very pleasant ride.  Ashley slept LONG in the afternoon and we just kept pushing through after lunch.  We were actually the first ones to arrive!  After pizza dinner, we made a last minute decision to get pictures done and over with!  It all went well!  Our girls got the option to sleep in the bunk room and they excitedly took it.

Ready to go

2015 Farm Trip - Day 4

More horses, a wiffleball game, pool/lake and s'mores at night.  Brooklyn cried so hard at naptime that she puked - not sure what that was about.  So tired she didn't want to sleep?  A scary Anna story - took Mae to the pool, then to the lake, on the way back Lindsey had brought Anna to the pool so when everyone left I stayed with Anna.  It was just her and I and I had been wanting to get her to go down the slide but she didn't want to.  With the water now off, I put her on the bottom of the slide.  I kept doing that and then pushing her further and further up.  The slide was dry so she was able to walk up further and further until eventually she was going from the top.  She then wanted to slide down from the top by walking up the steps to get to the top - which she did.  She then wanted to climb out of the pool on the rocks to get to the steps - which she did.  She then wanted to climb out of the pool on the rocks without any assistance - which she almost did.  She told me to back away and so I pushed off the rocks and went floating on my back.  She then slipped and went face first into the water.  She just laid in the water with her face fully immersed and made no attempt to come out of the water (which I'm told is a normal thing with young kids).  I bolted back over there, pulled out a non-breathing Anna, and I gave her back blows until she started coughing.  WHEW!  She was all done with the slide (and the pool) for the day. =)
