Cabo San Lucas Day 1: Nightmare

Our trip to paradise started very poorly.  Our first day in Cabo was spent in Dallas and L.A.  That is not what we had in mind.  Our flight in Cincinnati was delayed - which meant we'd miss our connecting flight in Dallas.  They booked us on the later flight from Dallas to Cabo which would put us in Cabo in the evening instead of the afternoon. Fine.  While in flight to Dallas, American Airlines computers went bye bye and they had no access to them.  This caused delays, cancellations, and a lot of frustration.  We watched our original flight to Cabo leave without us with tons of extra seats that they wouldn't give us.  It then was a completely blown day when the 2nd flight to Cabo was then canceled.  We all wanted to cry.  The next day's flights to Cabo were completely full.  So, we ended up flying to LA at 10:30 that night (11:30 Cincy time) and arriving in LA at midnight (3am Cincy time).  By the time we got to a hotel and in bed it had been a long 22 hour day for us...and we still were not there. We were glad the day ended. -T

So we didn't take a lot of pictures the first day.  But we did come back 7 hours later to where we ate lunch (Cousin's BarBQ) and 5 hours later to where we had some ice cream (Ben & Jerry's) and took a picture.  Then 3 hours after that we took off for L.A.!  We did LOVE the brisket at Cousin's though.

Hello L.A.!  At least we stayed at a nice hotel that Scott B. booked before we got there (the voucher line for hotels in LA was ENORMOUS so we were happy to surpass that).  This is what L.A. looks like at 4am Cincy time)
