Girl Hair

The progression of girl hair.  We see Mae needing to trim her long, growing hair, and Anna, well, we can finally put those crazy curls in some hair ties. -T

That pretty blonde hair

Good sitting still, Mae!

This is such a funny stage for hair

Outside Spring Fun

Mom makes everyday fun, but days to the park are usually at the top of the list. Then top it off with dessert (fruit) afterwards?  "We have the best mom!" -T

Oh look, Mom can just sit and watch now

It's really not that fun, huh Mae?

"Look at the camera, Anna!"

Getting both of them to look at the camera just isn't going to happen

A famous Anna face

A little more daring than Mae was at this age

She loves it

And at least Mae loves it now

What could be more thrilling in a park than the slides?

I guess we just found out

"Bufferflies"

"Ya see it, Mom?"

Is she worn out from the park or from picking all these strawberries?

Homegrown strawberries - good work, Mom!

Last of the Game

Now that Anna is almost a year...I say this game should come to an end once and for all. -T

And well, it just doesn't seem to be that fun for Anna

May is 11 Months...a.k.a. Anna is 11 Months IN May

Anna just continues to get older.  Imagine that.  The easy smiles we use to get have turned a littler crazier.  The older they get the more self-aware they are as well - which only adds to the challenge. Oh, and throwing Mae in too REALLY adds to the challenge. -T

No WE'LL hold the camera, YOU smile for it

"HEYYYY...LIKE THIS, DAD?"

How about a little tamer?

Nope...that's not tamer

That's closer I guess

Nope that's not it at all

Perfect

Nope...too loud

"You want me to what?"

"Stand so you can take some pictures with Mae in them?  NOOOO!"

"FOR THIS?  I told you guys I hate this part!"

"I'm so done."

"I said I'm done!" (as Mae shows how innocent she is)

Making Mae Tough

Mae always enjoys playing with Cameron.  We think because he outsizes her that it will make her mentally tough!  We like it that she can hold her own with him.  We also like it that he doesn't seem to go all out where he could just crush her. -T

The "look out!" just kills me every time!

ZOOming Down to Vine St.

Grandma Weez and Papa D made another trip with the grandkids down to the zoo.  Mom, Mae, and Anna rode with Aunt Beth, Cameron, and Nathan.  Zoo day is always a great day. -T

Part of the fun is just riding in someone else's car seat

One of Mae's favorite lines, "I wanna touch it."

Pola-BEAH!

Is Papa D allowed to smoke in there?
Mae still won't really feed the goats...

...but Anna will!

Cousins...and Grandma Weez...Pay ATTENTION Mae!

Just cousins

No Work and All Play

I didn't want to go to work after Cabo...so I took an extra day off and spent that day at home with my girls.  For FHE we made s'mores.  It was a nice "recovery day" and time together before going back to the disaster at work. -T

Wanting to light the fire

Okay you don't have to stand THAT far away from it

Hey hey girls...how do you like those s'mores?

I'll take that as a "like."

So Anna didn't really have a s'more, but she enjoyed the graham cracker
