Gutts

It's long overdue, but we finally got new gutters.  No more waterfalls!  It took them an extra day - they took them down, didn't have the new ones delivered in time, and we had a bunch of stuff in our yard overnight, but it got done, done well, and for a good price.

Moving Rooms

To get people settled into new environments before Baby Schlenk #4 comes, everyone moved one room to the right.  Mae and Anna moved from Purple to Pink and Brooklyn moved from Blue to Purple.  Baby Schlenk will move from black womb to Blue (eventually).

With Baby Schlenk coming soon, the office had to go.  Easier said than done.  The plan is to move Mae and Anna from the Purple Room to the newly named Pink Room, Brooklyn to the Purple Room with the crib (and toddler bed when she's ready), and Baby Schlenk would then have access to the Blue Room when she's ready.  OH the office - marrying a school teacher comes with a lot of literal baggage.  Love her!

Rooted

After the birthday fun was over, I took another day off of work to get rid of some roots - and when I saw some I mean an entire underground city.  I can't remember a project leaving me so sore and so beaten down.  I couldn't hold a fork or a pen for 48 hours after without shaking.  I crawled up stairs.  We didn't even get all of them, BUT we got a majority!  We paid the price but now I worry less about tripping and head wounds for the little ones.  Papa D could have gone for a couple more hours, but I had nothing left.

A Morning Project (with no kids)

It's amazing what Mom and Dad can get done in a morning with no kids.  A thanks to Grandma Weez and Papa D for taking the girls for a little QT while Lindsey and I cleaned out the big disaster known as "the office."

Carpet Day

The day FINALLY arrived!  Carpet day!  I was eager to see it and a quick errand after work turned into not getting home for 2 1/2 hours so it was killing me to see it!  It turned out AWESOME!  We're so excited! -T

The Last Time

We put the finishing touches on anything/everything we wanted done before our carpet got installed the next Monday!  Eeeekk!  We're excited!  Filling the concrete cracks was a pain, but we got it done. Next stop: Carpet-town! -T

It's All About that Base-ment

Days rolled by and little by little we got closer and closer with the details before carpet gets installed - painting, fixing, etc.  Some long nights, but so worth it. -T

And the door got put up so that was great...especially for Mae, who wanted the door up the 1st day

And when I filled the cracks with concrete caulk and tried to clean off the putty knife with my hands...I couldn't get it off (I eventually did - 6 days later they were clean)
