Carpet Day

The day FINALLY arrived!  Carpet day!  I was eager to see it and a quick errand after work turned into not getting home for 2 1/2 hours so it was killing me to see it!  It turned out AWESOME!  We're so excited! -T

That's a great sight to see

Dreams come true

Runnin' wild!

What a great day!

Small but cozy

Still needs a door

Secret hideout

More Basement Details

We put the finishing touches on anything/everything we wanted done before our carpet got installed the next Monday!  Eeeekk!  We're excited!  Filling the concrete cracks was a pain, but we got it done. Next stop: Carpet-town! -T

It's All About that Base-ment

Days rolled by and little by little we got closer and closer with the details before carpet gets installed - painting, fixing, etc.  Some long nights, but so worth it. -T

We had our mudder come back and fix a few areas

And the door got put up so that was great...especially for Mae, who wanted the door up the 1st day

Lindsey painted shelves that we had the Grandpa Fish made

And a table from Uncle Pete

Okay so paint looks better than prime

The cover for the water shutoff

Nice work, Lindsey!  I tried to make the door look as good

And when I filled the cracks with concrete caulk and tried to clean off the putty knife with my hands...I couldn't get it off (I eventually did - 6 days later they were clean)

Basement Project Day 8

And just like that, all the dry wall was up. -T

Eeesh...I'll take lookin' the other way

Back to Work but Basement Project Day 7

The first day I went back to work, we had dry wall delivered.  The next day, Dad was back at it and putting up dry wall.  It's starting to look really good - and feel real. -T

Well that's certainly a different look

Basement Project Day 6

Day 6 - my last day off of work.  We ordered the dry wall, but it wasn't going to be delivered until the next day so we spent a lot of the day running electric.  The 4-way switch was a little tricky trying to run a new wire to it.  FINALLY we got it through! -T
