An Uninvited Mary

Our ward Christmas Party consisted of Santa, some good food, and a nativity that Brooklyn stole the show.  Only, she was not supposed to be a part of the show.  She loves Jesus though, and she loves babies so if you add it together and make Baby Jesus, well, Brooklyn just has to see Him - and touch him.  A mom with Ashley, and a dad filming Mae as a participant, and well, there was no one to stop Brooklyn - and she crashed the stage.

She's come a long way

No tears

"What's up fat man?"

Okay, so she didn't really say that

Well look at that!

Brooklyn's always more interested in what Ashley's doing in any picture, than the picture itself

Ashley trying to figure it all out

2016 - the year of Santa and no tears

Mae has always been very wise - so this is fitting
Stone faced

The video was too long but Mary is very concerned about there - as not only is there someone stealing her thunder as Mary, but she's blocking everyone from seeing the baby Jesus (Brooklyn's in the black shirt kneeling in front of Jesus)

Busted

She wouldn't let it go

Cousin Conference

Stake Conference was the easiest it's ever been with kids.  We sat behind the Poe's who were in the 1st row of chairs in the back section of the gym.  Add in the Spjut's and boom - Schlensker-Poe-Spjut territory.  Throw in Aunt Beth holding Ashley and boom - best Stake Conference ever with kids.  We even had other kids come and join the fun.

Poe's, Schlensker's, Spjut's - and Montgomery Ward friends

Best Aunt Award

Sometimes, some cousins were too cool and just wanted to stand off to the side =)

Trunk or Treat

We went to our annual ward trunk or treat.  Mae was Doc McStuffins, Anna was a fairy (some, like Lindsey, say specifically Alice the Fairy), and Brooklyn we passed on.  Jackie came and we had a good time. -T

Our little Doc McStuffins

Some people just make you smile

I put Brooklyn on my shoulders and she slobbered all OVER my head

So I traded kids

Officially 2

Anna's actual birthday fell on Sunday.  2 years ago, I can still see in my mind the cute little girl with the huge eyes.  I remember telling Lindsey that she reminded me of Bugsy from Bedtime Stories.  She still has the big beautiful eyes but her head has grown into them.  What a first 2 years it's been - from the girl who cried seemingly ALL the time to the girl who loves to laugh and smile.  Happy Birthday, Anna! -T

I just figured when you light a candle in a muffin you just put one in for space reasons

Lindsey thought I didn't know how old she was...but I still put in 2.  When she's 10, Lindsey, and I only put 1 candle in it, I won't be thinking she's only 1!

Between events, Mae taught a very powerful scripture lesson to these very lucky stuffed animals

Opening a morning present

With a little help from Mae

A fun church activity for a couple hours from now

It's my party and I'll where what I want to

Who wouldn't want to wear a dress with a swimsuit over it - not to mention goggles?

She nailed those 2 candles!

Bring on the presents!

Isn't this part the mom's job?

She might have to grow into them a little bit

I'm feeling a little crowded

Much better effort than when she turned 1

Enjoying the party
