Anna turned 1. The year went pretty fast actually. Her birthday fell on a Saturday so we had a lot of fun just with our family. Papa D and Grandma Weez came over after dinner for some singing and cake. We think she enjoyed her very first. -T

Might as well sing and blow out a candle in the muffin for breakfast |
What are the chances the cake comes out and this is the remains in the pans! |
We only had "M-A-E" letters so Mae helped making some "A-N-N" letters |
A family swim |
Anna's warming up to the swimming idea since it's her first experience with it and Mae, well, this is Mae's "fully in" |
DIVING in for your first time in water, Anna? Impressive! |
Oh ho...she loves it! |
Okay so she's now matched Mae in farthest in a pool... |
...and now has surpassed it. |
"I just prefer handing out towels, guys." |
"Okay so who's going down the slide first?" |
Dang! Look at those fresh cut yard lines! |
OH and good sliding Anna! |
A picture tells 1000 words - or at least 6 - Anna experiencing, Dad catching, Mae...watching" |
Swimming makes you so hungry |
Why am I always in some weird position in all family pictures? |
"Happy Birthday to you..." |
Blow it out and make a mess! |
Okay this has to be more entertaining than Mae's 1st birthday, right? |
Nice work, Mom! Mmm...sprinkles. |
The answer to "more entertaining" is no. |
Make a mess, Anna! |
Aaaaand....she's all done. |
Papa D helping with gifts |
Ripping paper is always fun |
Always eyeing those glasses |
I think you could just get a 1 year old wrapping paper and they'd be just as happy |
Oh, but I guess a doll is nice too. |
