Back to Just 3

After weeks of lots to do and tons of cousins around, it's back to just the 3 of them - and that's okay too!

2015 Farm Trip - Day 6

Exhausted but happy and they all had a great time.  We got to have Grandma Weez on the way home and the drive went really well.  With church and naps factored in, it was a pretty painless ride home.  This year's trip was SO much better than the last.  See ya next year!

Panda - ready!

Paci and Gir-ra-ra - ready!

Paci, burp cloth, Mimi - ready!

2015 Farm Trip - Day 5

Horses, pool, and bull.  Anna went on the bull if I went on with her.  Mae went on only if it didn't move.  Uncle Scott made it move for a few seconds - and she lost her mind.  You'll see a picture of Anna crying in the pool.  That's because she went under the water again like the day before.  I was catching her at the bottom of the now WATER slide (not the dry slide like the day before).  I got distracted when I felt something at the bottom of the pool and then pulled up a lizard carcass or something.  I didn't realize Anna was already coming down the slide and there wasn't anyone paying attention to catch her.  She came up coughing though and not not-breathing.  Two days in a row - dang!  She did go down on the slide again after that though. =)

You can go just about anywhere when you're little

Atta way Ann!

Happy happy kid

Brooklyn finally got some pool time

Sorry Curly!!!  You should have seen that nasty lizard though!

At least it didn't totally ruin her

Pool time

Aunt Laurie taking the B'ster down the slide

After 3 days and a lot of persuasion, promised ice cream was finally the winner to get Mae to go down her one and only time - thanks, Aunt Laurie!

In a random act of randomness - the other side (thank goodness) of the glass window just shattered

Lovin' the non-moving bull!

Not so much lovin' the moving bull

2015 Farm Trip - Day 4

More horses, a wiffleball game, pool/lake and s'mores at night.  Brooklyn cried so hard at naptime that she puked - not sure what that was about.  So tired she didn't want to sleep?  A scary Anna story - took Mae to the pool, then to the lake, on the way back Lindsey had brought Anna to the pool so when everyone left I stayed with Anna.  It was just her and I and I had been wanting to get her to go down the slide but she didn't want to.  With the water now off, I put her on the bottom of the slide.  I kept doing that and then pushing her further and further up.  The slide was dry so she was able to walk up further and further until eventually she was going from the top.  She then wanted to slide down from the top by walking up the steps to get to the top - which she did.  She then wanted to climb out of the pool on the rocks to get to the steps - which she did.  She then wanted to climb out of the pool on the rocks without any assistance - which she almost did.  She told me to back away and so I pushed off the rocks and went floating on my back.  She then slipped and went face first into the water.  She just laid in the water with her face fully immersed and made no attempt to come out of the water (which I'm told is a normal thing with young kids).  I bolted back over there, pulled out a non-breathing Anna, and I gave her back blows until she started coughing.  WHEW!  She was all done with the slide (and the pool) for the day. =)

2015 Farm Trip - Day 3

The first full day at the farm like most other years started with a little horse time.  Sandra made a wonderful breakfast and then we prepped for family picture day.  Ugh.  It went alright though and luckily wasn't 100 degrees, no one got stung by a bee, etc.  Mom took Mae to the pool and I stayed with Brooklyn and Anna for a nap.  Then it was just hang out time and Doc Brown even made an appearance.
