Virginia Day 1: The Drive

Day 1 was the long dreaded drive to the farm.  Anna hadn't made it in a full year+ of life more than 10 minutes without crying in the car so 7+ hours seemed daunting.  We were traveling with Papa D and Grandma Weez so we hoped that would at least help.  We planned on turning her front facing for the first time to which we thought would also help.  Well, from our house to pickup Grandma Weez and Papa D was great...for the first 10 minutes.  She laughed and yelled in happiness.  Then the 10 minute mark hit and she cried the rest of the 5 or 6 minutes to her grandparents.  Get us out of here!  That ended up being probably the worst part!  Yea Anna!  Mae was also very good but we weren't scared of her.  The only thing that scared us about her was the potential of car sickness and that never happened either.  Yea!  Shortly after we got to the farm it stormed and we lost power for a couple hours.  We powered through it and survived until it finally came back right before bedtimes.  Everyone arrived safe and sound.  Day 1 = Success. -T

Well that's Mae's new seat but we're glad you're at least happy to be in A car seat

Let's do this, she says!

Happy and ready to pickup Papa D and Grandma Weez

The first 10 minutes

Nothing like seeing a dog at a rest stop

Lucky for us (Mae), they were willing to let Mae pet him
